Let there be no doubt, Hillary Clinton beat Donald Trump in the first presidential debate by a huge margin in every corner of the nation.

  • COLORADO: Clinton 53%, Trump 31%
  • FLORIDA: Clinton 52%, Trump 35%
  • NORTH CAROLINA: Clinton 53%, Trump 31%
  • PENNSYLVANIA: Clinton 51%, Trump 32%
  • VIRGINIA: Clinton 54%, Trump 30%

With the first debate over, a new Public Policy Partners (PPP) poll finds Clinton leading Trump in five critical battleground states, and her edge among millennial voters (now a larger voting block than baby boomers) has increased.

COLORADO:

  • Clinton 46%, Trump 40%, Johnson 6%, Stein 2%
  • Clinton leads with under 35 voters 50%-27%-15%-2%

FLORIDA:

  • Clinton 45%, Trump 43%, Johnson 3%, Stein 1%
  • Clinton leads with under 35 voters 54%-28%-4%-4%

NORTH CAROLINA:

  • Clinton 44%, Trump 42%, Johnson 7%
  • Clinton leads with under 35 voters 54%-28%-19%

PENNSYLVANIA:

  • Clinton 45%, Trump 39%, Johnson 6%, Stein 2%
  • Clinton leads with under 35 voters 45%-22%-11%-4%

VIRGINIA:

  • Clinton 46%, Trump 40%, Johnson 7%, Stein 1%
  • Clinton leads with under 35 voters 44%-24%(Johnson)-22%(Trump)-2%

WOMEN AND MILLENNIALS

Clinton’s debate performance did wonders to reestablish her dominance with women and millennial voters.

In all the states above, Clinton leads by wide margins with voters under 35.

According to a new NBC poll, 27 percent of likely women voters said the debate made them think worse of Trump. Meanwhile, nearly a third said their opinion of Clinton had improved, compared to 22 percent of men.

“I’m undecided, but I’m leaning more towards Hillary than I ever have before because of the debate,” said Joan Hume, a 71-year-old retiree in Fairfield, Ohio who said she voted for Trump in the Republican primary. “There’s a side of him that’s scary to me that I’m seeing more of. I thought maybe he would change when he got the nomination, but he’s getting worse.”

Most incredible is that 80 percent of independent female voters say Trump does not have the “temperament and personality to serve” as president.

There is very little good news for Trump in these first polls since Monday’s debate. In the five key states only 34-40% of voters believe he is prepared to be President, only 35-40% think he has the temperament to be President, and only 38-40% think he can be trusted with nuclear weapons.

Majorities of voters in all five states think Clinton is both prepared and has the temperament to be President.
