Hillary Clinton deserves a lot of credit today. After a humiliating collapse in Michigan last week, her campaign came roaring back to win not just Florida and North Carolina, which was expected, but Ohio, Illinois and Missouri too. That’s impressive however you slice it.
The strong win in Ohio is telling too. There is no state in America more coveted by presidential candidates than Ohio. No Republican has ever won without carrying it. No Democrat has done it since John F. Kennedy. And Clinton sent a message last night: I can win in the top battleground. That victory alone should give her big momentum as she approaches the magic number she needs to be the Democratic nominee.
