It’s a move. Not quite a bold move, but a move nonetheless.
Here’s reality: Ted Cruz currently has 568 pledged delegates. Donald Trump has 991.
You need 1,237 to clinch the GOP nomination. Trump is much closer.
So in an effort to catch up with Trump — and hoping to steal away some media coverage — today Cruz announced former presidential candidate Carly Fiorina will be his running-mate if he’s nominated in Cleveland.
Cruz’s delegate count, combined with Fiorina’s, has now jumped up to 568.
Brilliant.
Ted Cruz is not going to be the Republican nominee. Is Fiorina going to tell him?
