In the “how did this happen?!” category, conservative opponents of Donald Trump are having a field day pointing out that two of his children are ineligible to vote for him in the upcoming New York Republican presidential primary.

Ivanka and Eric Trump are not registered in a political party in New York State and they’ve missed the deadline. That means they cannot vote for their dad in the closed GOP primary.

“If Trump is one vote under 50 percent in New York on April 19th, then Ivanka and Eric will have been the difference in him winning all the statewide delegates,” commented Conservative Review.

“They had a long time to register, and they were, you know, unaware of the rules, and they didn’t register in time,” said Trump today. “So they feel very, very guilty. They feel very guilty.”
