Yet Politico has discovered that Trump is seeking a permit to build a nearly two-mile-long stone wall to protect Trump International Golf Links and Hotel in Ireland because the beach in front of the 18th green is disappearing at a rate of about a yard each year.
The application states the emergency wall separating the golf course and the Atlantic Ocean is necessary due to “rising sea levels and increased storm frequency and wave energy associated with global warming.”
Trump’s own environmental impact statement says all the dunes in western Ireland are retreating “due to sea level rise and increased Atlantic storminess.”
