Birds gotta fly, fish have to swim and Republicans must carry Arizona. But a new poll shows Hillary Clinton leading Donald Trump in the Grand Canyon State by five points.

The Predictive Insights poll finds Clinton at 47 percent to Trump’s 42 percent. Clinton leads by a dozen points among women voters.

Arizona last went for a Democratic presidential candidate in 1996 — Bill Clinton.

In North Carolina, a state Barack Obama carried in 2008 and Mitt Romney carried in 2012, the state is dead even.

The new Public Policy Polling survey shows Clinton and Trump with 43 percent each.

Interestingly, North Carolina voters would prefer a third Barack Obama term to Donald Trump by one point – 49 to 48 percent.
