Bernie Sanders is not going to be the Democratic nominee for president. Yet he refuses to endorse Hillary Clinton who has surpassed the minimum number of delegates she needs to win the nomination.
That decision, according to the Secret Service, means Sanders continues to receive around-the-clock protection at a cost of $38,000 tax dollars a day, or $1 million a month.
Sanders is protected by a team of agents who guard his home from a small watch station on his property, according to the Washington Post. The agents also travel with him on planes and use a motorcade when going through cities.
Bernie Sanders is no longer a legitimate candidate for president, and no one can point out a legitimate reason why he is still receiving tax dollars for his security. At a time when our nation is running a huge debt, you would think administration officials would step in, on behalf of consumers, and put an end to this government waste.
