What better way to start your Fourth of July weekend than answering FBI questions about your email server?
Hillary Clinton spent three and a half hours this morning with law enforcement officials at FBI headquarters in Washington.
The timing means the FBI investigation may be nearing its conclusion, just weeks before Clinton officially becomes her party’s nominee for president.
Clinton’s emails have been a dark cloud for her campaign since entering the race. The FBI decision, as we wrote about here, has the potential to shake up the presidential race.
The Clinton campaign said today that the candidate met with the FBI “voluntarily” but they would have no comment on any specific questions asked by agents.
RNC spokesman Sean Spicer wasted no time in attacking Clinton on Twitter:
In case you missed it @HillaryClinton kicked of #FourthOfJulyWeekend with a 3.5 hour interview at @FBI HQ

Well, one quick look at Sean Spicer’s Twitterfeed pretty much proclaims him to the world as a dunce.
