This story has been UPDATED here: Meyer Suspended for 3 Games.
If various sources are correct, the Ohio State University Board of Trustees wants Urban Meyer to get back to work immediately, while university president Michael Drake is insisting he be suspended.
Meyer, always protective of his reputation, is refusing to serve any suspension according to sources, because he does not believe he did anything wrong.
And that puts the situation in a very volatile state.
The Trustees versus the President with the man in the middle of the situation making his own demands.
The one word that has not come up yet: Fired.
Meyer is one of the highest profile coaches in college football, earning $7.5 million per year. He is 73-8 since taking over in Columbus. The Buckeyes have won at least 11 games in each of the six seasons, claiming two B1G titles and a national championship in 2014.
The Buckeyes open the football season a week from Saturday against Oregon State at home.
Pres. Drake thinks a lot like Trump in that he will do anything he wants even if no one agrees with him. He believes his view point on the subject at hand is the only right one.
