President Trump’s lawyers do not know just how much the White House counsel, Donald McGahn, told the special counsel’s investigators during months of interviews, prompting Trump to wildly attack special counsel Robert Mueller in a series of tweets today.

“Disgraced and discredited Bob Mueller and his whole group of Angry Democrat Thugs spent over 30 hours with the White House Councel [sic], only with my approval, for purposes of transparency,” Trump tweeted.

“Anybody needing that much time when they know there is no Russian Collusion is just someone … looking for trouble. They are enjoying ruining people’s lives and REFUSE to look at the real corruption on the Democrat side – the lies, the firings, the deleted Emails and soooo much more! Mueller’s Angry Dems are looking to impact the election. They are a National Disgrace!”

Trump’s lawyers said yesterday that they were confident McGahn had said nothing injurious to Trump during the 30 hours of interviews. But McGahn’s lawyer has offered only a limited accounting of what he told the investigators.

That has prompted concern among Trump’s advisers that McGahn’s statements could help serve as a key component for a damning report by Mueller.

Also today, Trump ripped Justice Department official Bruce Ohr, saying he should be fired for his involvement in the Russia investigation. He also took yet another swipe at Attorney General Jeff Sessions.

“Will Bruce Ohr, whose family received big money for helping to create the phony, dirty and discredited Dossier, ever be fired from the Jeff Sessions  ‘Justice’ Department? A total joke!” Trump tweeted.

Trump on Sunday tweeted multiple times about Mueller’s probe, calling the investigation “McCarthyism at its worst.”

Lt. Col. Ralph Peters, a former Fox News military analyst, said in an interview yesterday that all of Trump’s comments point to him becoming unhinged.

“This is a President of the United States who is a danger to the Republic,” Peters said.
