If proven true, it will mark the end of Brett Kavanaugh’s nomination to the Supreme Court.
Michael Avenatti, the attorney for Stormy Daniels, has made shocking claims that Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh and other men would ply women with alcohol or drugs at house parties and then gang rape them.
In an email to Mike Davis, the Chief Counsel for Nominations, Avenatti says he has “significant evidence” of house parties in Washington D.C. during the early 1980s “during which Kavanaugh, Mark Judge and others would participate in the targeting of women.”
He said they would use alcohol or drugs to allow a “train” of men to subsequently gang rape them.
Avenatti claims there are “multiple witnesses that will corroborate these facts and each of them must be called to testify publicly.”
In a tweet with a screenshot of the email, he wrote: “We demand that this process be thorough, open and fair, which is what the American public deserves. It must not be rushed and evidence/witnesses must not be hidden.”
My e-mail of moments ago with Mike Davis, Chief Counsel for Nominations for U.S. Senate Committee on the Judiciary. Avenatti says he does not represent Deborah Ramirez, who attended Yale University with Kavanaugh, who told The New Yorker that Kavanaugh pulled down his pants and exposed himself to her while they were classmates there.
“We will be demanding the opportunity to present testimony to the committee and will likewise be demanding that Judge and others be subpoenaed to testify,” said Avenatti. “The nomination must be withdrawn.”
There are questions about whether Sen. Mitch McConnell, and other Republicans, were made aware of these allegations last week and did nothing about them.
If true (and the accusations most probably are) Mr. Kavanaugh’s tenure as a Federal Judge is over as well.
He and his buddy Judge should be concerned about facing criminal charges since there’s no statute of limitations against sex crimes in Conn.
I am shocked that this is all coming out now, but I have to say that this type of college partying with some people have gone on for years and was even promoted by movies in the 70’s and 80’s. Animal House with John Belushi and Judge may not remember cause he does not want to as a reformed alcoholic maybe ..just maybe ..someone dropped out of college with a baby… bearing the burden of this mess
