Brett Kavanaugh once said in a speech: “What happens at Georgetown Prep, stays at Georgetown Prep. I think that’s been a good thing for all of us.”

But it’s probably a better thing for Americans that we know more about what was going on there.

The FBI now has a directive from President Trump to figure out what happened, if anything, between Kavanaugh, Mark Judge, one of his best friends from Georgetown Prep, and their accuser Christine Blasey Ford.

Judge today was in Washington, D.C., meeting with his lawyer, who issued a statement saying Judge “was willing to cooperate with any law enforcement investigation, so long as it took place ‘confidentially.’”

Judge, who has written several books about his experiences at the elite Catholic high school near Washington, D.C., has said that Georgetown Prep was “positively swimming in alcohol” and Kavanaugh’s graduating class of 80 students “consumed at least 100 kegs of beer their senior year.”

Ford, a California professor who has testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee under oath, accused Kavanaugh of trying to drunkenly sexually assault her at a party when she was 15 and he was 17. She also claimed Judge was also in the room during the alleged attack and encouraged it.

“The uproarious laughter between the two, and their having fun at my expense,” Ford said of her enduring memory of the incident. “I was underneath one of them while the two laughed. Two friends having a really good time with one another.”

Judge does not mention witnessing – or taking part in – any sexual assaults in his autobiographical book, Wasted and God and Man at Georgetown Prep, which described his struggles with alcoholism and eventual recovery.

But he does detail the hard-partying exploits of his classmates and friends – a group that included Kavanaugh (referred to as “Bart O’Kavanaugh”) – often in houses where parents were absent, matching the circumstances described by Ford of her alleged attack.

“Georgetown Prep was a school positively swimming in alcohol, and my class partied with gusto – often right under the noses of our teachers,” wrote Judge in his 2005 book God and Man at Georgetown Prep.

“Senior year, my class of eighty decided that by the end of the year we would drink a hundred kegs of beer,” wrote Judge. “I’m sorry to say that we succeeded.”

Judge described how his senior class hired a stripper for an impromptu bachelor party for his music teacher.

Ford, who attended a nearby girls’ school, claimed she attended a small party with Kavanaugh and Judge in 1982 when the boys were 17 and she was 15.

Ford has accused Kavanaugh of assaulting her at the party. The allegations have not been corroborated.

Ford said Kavanaugh and Judge were heavily intoxicated when she met them at a small house party in Maryland. She said they took her into an upstairs bedroom where Kavanaugh pinned her to the bed, climbed on top of her, fumbled with her clothing, and put his hand over her mouth. Ford said Judge stood nearby, encouraging his friend but also telling him to ‘stop.’

Ford said the boys were laughing and turned the music up in the room which drowned out any noise from the rest of the house.

At one point, Ford said Judge jumped on top of Kavanaugh and both boys fell off of her. She said she ran into the bathroom and locked the door, and waited before she heard them go downstairs before she fled the house.

She also said the alleged assault had a detrimental impact on her life and she required years of therapy to deal with it.

Certain things in Kavanaugh’s yearbook have also come under fire.

Attorney Michael Avenatti said, “We have reason to believe that (1) the first entry stands for Find them, French them, Finger them, F**k them, and Forget them and (2) the second entry – “Devil’s triangle” – “refers to a situation where two men engage in sex with a woman at the same time,” which is consistent with the allegations.

The same yearbook entry also puts Kavanaugh in the “Beach Week Ralph Club,” a reference to vomiting during a trips to nearby beaches common among teens in the well-to-do suburb where Kavanaugh grew up.”

The FBI will interview Judge and other witnesses and issue a report to the White House. They will not reach conclusions, leaving that for the senators.
