It’s like a script from a reality TV show, with Survivor host Jeff Probst right in the middle of it.
Actor Tom Arnold contacted the Los Angeles Police Department last night after he was allegedly attacked by reality TV producer Mark Burnett at an Emmy party in Los Angeles.
“Mark Burnett just went apes**; choked me at this huge Emmy party then he ran away with his torn Pink shirt & missing gold chain. I’m waiting for LAPD,” wrote Arnold on Twitter shortly after the fight.
Arnold has been publicly bashing Burnett for months over Arnold’s insistence that the producer is protecting President Trump by refusing to release outtakes from “The Apprentice” in which Trump allegedly uses racial slurs and makes other disturbing comments. Burnett executive produced the series, and Trump hosted.
Multiple people who witnessed the fight said that the two men were shoving one another but it was unclear who was the aggressor in the situation.
How I Met Your Mother actress Alyson Hannigan said she witnessed the event — and Probst tried to stop the madness.
Burnett’s wife, Roma Downey, claimed on Instagram that she received a bruised hand during the fight. “Got this bruise tonight when Tom Arnold tried to ambush my husband Mark and me at a charity event. Is your TV show worth it Tom? Please stop,” she wrote.
Burnett has done his best to avoid all talk of possible Trump tapes, and just last weekend skipped a wedding for a family friend in Nantucket that was also attended by Hillary and Bill Clinton.
Arnold is hosting a reality series for Viceland dubbed “The Hunt for the Trump Tapes,” which premieres Tuesday.
