He may have to go back to reality TV soon as Antonio Sabato Jr., a strong supporter of President Trump, was easily defeated by the Democratic incumbent Julia Brownley.

Brownley, 66, of Westlake Village, won about 58 percent of the vote.

Sabato, the 46-year-old actor and businessman from Thousand Oaks, drew about 42 percent in his first run for public office.

Sabato, who in the 1990s had regular work in soap operas such as “General Hospital” and “Melrose Place,” and a modeling career for Calvin Klein, once suggested former President Barack Obama should be sent to the Guantanamo Bay detention camp in Cuba.

He also regularly says Obama is a Muslim who was born in Kenya.
