Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott jumped into the Salvation Army’s giant kettle and donated $21 right after scoring a touchdown against the Washington Redskins during the Thanksgiving day game.

Elliott, from The Ohio State University, ran for a 16-yard score during the Cowboys’ first possession of the game, and celebrated by taking cash and placing it into the Salvation Army’s giant kettle located behind the end zone.

The donation from Elliott came two years after he celebrated a touchdown by leaping into the giant kettle.

The move quickly went viral and led to a surge in donations to the Salvation Army in the days after the game.

Elliott and Quarterback Dak Prescott kept the fun going early in the fourth quarter.

Prescott scrambled up the middle to score on a five-yard run, increasing the Cowboys’ lead to 31–13 over the Redskins.

Elliott then picked up his quarterback and dropped him in the red kettle.

Prescott was flagged for unsportsmanlike conduct, but the Salvation Army loved it:

The online response was huge.

It later led Elliott to announce that he’d donate $21,000 to the organization in an effort to “help others.”

He additionally implored others to make a donation of $21.

His antics two years ago helped the Salvation Army raise nearly $200,000 in online donations.
