Nasty messages from Lindsay Lohan about Celebrity Big Brother contestants Tamar Braxton, Anthony Scaramucci and Ricky Williams sent social media into dramatic overdrive the last couple days.

Today, the Mean Girls actress said Instagram and Twitter comments shared on her accounts that criticized Celebrity Big Brother after her mom Dina Lohan was evicted from the show’s house did not come from her.

“I have been made aware that further comments were added to my last Instagram post as to appear that I wrote them,” Lindsay wrote on Instagram on Saturday. “Firstly, I can guarantee these comments were not made from me. Sadly from investigation I have learned that a past member of my team who had access to my account made these changes. This matter has now been dealt with internally.”

She went on to add:

“I want to personally thank CBS and Big Brother for giving my Mother this incredible opportunity and also to say how proud I am of my Mom for what she has achieved. Also MTV and Viacom for their wonderful support. Lastly, I want to thank those who made me aware of what was happening on my social media channels . Thank you. Lindsay”

Not everyone is buying the statement.

“Do people really believe that she didn’t write that post? This stuff happens and then gets deleted and blamed on someone else. I love Lindsay but I think she should have someone else run her ig or at least check what she’s posting,” said one fan on her Instagram account.

On the season finale of Celebrity Big Brother on Wednesday, the actress’ mother Dina joined the final four and was then evicted, after which she was made a member of the jury, which voted unanimously to declare Braxton the winner.

Lindsay’s accounts first began criticizing the show on Instagram, on two different posts on the show’s official page announcing Tamar as the winner.

“Bullshit” and “#cheapskate,” she wrote in the comments.

She then posted a selfie on her own page, with the caption, “Finally #family @alianalohan #free @cbs_bigbrother you suck and get no Valentine’s from @lohanbeachclub @mtv. My mother is an AMAZING woman and she did so well.” Lohan later deleted the caption, which also read, “The secrets she told me a few hours ago are going to #EXPOSE #YOUALL #dinalohan #dfwm.”

The comment was later scrubbed from the Instagram post.

Her attacks got a little more personal late Thursday night.

After Tamar sent out a link to one of her old songs, “Bluebird of Happiness,” on Twitter, Lohan’s accounts responded directly:

Tamar’s sister and fellow singer Toni Braxton rushed to her defense, tweeting, “Lindsay…stay out of it…”

Tweets directed at former White House communications director Anthony Scaramucci and runner-up and former NFL star Ricky Williams were also posted.

When asked to clarify whether Lohan posted the tweets about Ricky and Tamar, a rep told TooFab, “She hasn’t posted any of it. She was hacked. We are dealing with this internally.”
