It’s not everyday that a show can claim to tie the legendary Game of Thrones as “most binged series” in the world. But Lucifer has done it, and now has a good shot at dethroning GOT for the top spot once and for all.

Nearly two months after the highly-anticipated fourth season of Lucifer made its debut on Netflix back in May, the series continues to be king on the streaming service.

The “Binge Report” has released the latest numbers showing the Tom Ellis-starring series is sitting right up top in the number 1 most-binged slot for the seventh week in a row.

That ties Game of Thrones, which is really a remarkable achievement considering the critical acclaim the long-running HBO series has received.

Here’s the complete list:

Lucifer remains ahead of Marvel’s Jessica Jones, also on Netflix, which released its third and final season just a couple of weeks ago.

Remarkably, Friends remains number four on the list.

Netflix paid around $100 million for the rights to continue streaming the show until the end of the year.

However, NBCUniversal announced yesterday it is spending $100 million to steal away The Office from Netflix beginning in 2021.

The closest Lucifer came to losing the top spot was the week of May 20 – May 26, when it was not even 2% above GOT.

Considering the GOP series finale aired on May 19, Lucifans should be thrilled about keeping an edge over arguably the biggest show in TV history.

It was going strong in the reports from May, and the numbers reported from June so far are definitely solid.

Netflix does not release official viewership numbers and ratings for its shows.

Reports by TV Time haven’t been confirmed by the streaming giant, and Netflix undoubtedly has its own numbers.

Experts agree, however, that they probably look similar to what we’re seeing on the Binge Report.

Still, there has been no reversal of the decision to bring Lucifer to an end on Netflix at the end of Season 5.
