A new Fox News poll finds over half of voters want President Trump impeached and removed from office, a staggering finding as the House eyes a vote before the end of the year.

Those surveyed said 51% to 43% that Trump should be impeached and removed from office.

Four percent said he should be impeached but not removed from office, and 40% said he should not be impeached at all.

House Democrats launched impeachment proceedings against Trump after it was revealed that he asked Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky to investigate former Vice President Joe Biden and his son Hunter over Hunter’s role as a board member of a Ukrainian natural gas company.

The poll also showed a clear partisan divide.

Of Democrats surveyed, 85% said Trump should be impeached and removed, as did 13% of Republicans.

Those opposed to impeachment and removal included 9% of Democrats and 82% of Republicans.

This poll is among the first to show that roughly half of Americans support impeachment and removal from office.

It lines up with a Politico/Morning Consult survey also released Wednesday that said support for removal was at 50%.

Former Vice President Joe Biden said for the first time today that Trump should be impeached.

“With his words and his actions, President Trump has indicted himself by obstructing justice, refusing to comply with the congressional inquiry. He’s also convicted himself in full view of the world and the American people,” the 2020 Democratic candidate said during a campaign speech in Rochester, New Hampshire.

“Donald Trump has violated his oath of office, betrayed this nation and committed impeachable acts. To preserve our Constitution, our democracy, our basic integrity, he should be impeached,” he said to loud applause.

Biden, whom Trump has accused of “corruption” and demeaned as “Sleepy Joe,” then said that what Trump could do if left in office was concerning.

“Impeachment isn’t only about what the president’s done. It’s about the threat the president poses to the nation if allowed to remain in office,” he said.

“One thing about this president is absolutely clear and I don’t think anyone can contradict this, he has seen no limits to his power regardless of what the Constitution says. He believes the entire United States government can be corrupted into furthering his personal political needs,” Biden said.

Trump today bragged about the fact that 25% of Republicans wants him to be impeached.

The Washington Post/Schar School poll released yesterday actually found 58% of voters said that the House was right to launch its impeachment inquiry, while 49% said he should be impeached and removed from office.

More than 80% of Democrats endorsed the inquiry while 30% of Republicans, i.e. Trump’s own party, said the same.

Almost 8 in 10 Democrats said they are in favor of a vote recommending the president be removed from office, while nearly 20% of Republicans agreed he should be booted from the White House.

Support for an inquiry has increased among Democrats, Republicans, and independents by 25 points, 21 points, and 20 points, respectively5% of the country wanting you to be removed from office, you’re not in a great place!
