It has been ten whole years since a certain someone first appeared across the UK with the award-winning sitcom Miranda, and to mark this milestone, Miranda Hart held a huge celebration at the London Palladium.

Titled Miranda: My Such Fun Celebration, the special entertainment show featured a host of treats and surprises as Miranda, Sarah Hadland, Patricia Hodge, and Sally Phillips looked back over a decade of such fun, friendship, romance and all that made millions of fans connect with the sitcom.

And it couldn’t be a celebration of all things Miranda without her beloved Gary, so Tom Ellis made the trip across the pond to surprise Miranda and the fans at the Palladium.

Ellis tarred as Miranda’s love interest Gary from 2009 to 2015.

In one section of the program, Miranda and Tom sat in bed on stage at The Palladium together, reminiscing,

They revealed they have a sweet shared nickname.

“We call each other CCS, which stands for Clammy Co-Star,” Tom explained.

“True story,” he went on. “We used to stand backstage being very nervous waiting to come on set. Both of us, when we get a bit nervous, get terribly sweaty hands.”

He explained that before going on set, they would hold hands and say “love you CCS.”

Miranda even gifted Tom a sweet keepsake when the sitcom finished filming, featuring the initials.

“I gave you some cufflinks that said ‘CCS’,” she reminded Tom, although he didn’t need his memory jogged at all.

“I wore them at my wedding [in 2019], because I always like to have a part of you close to me,” he responded, with Miranda adding that’s “so sweet.”

For fans of Miranda, the heartfelt reunion will spark hopes of more episodes to come following the Palladium show. For now though, that hangs in the balance.

“This Such Fun Celebration felt like it could go both ways. It could be the goodbye forever (so for that reason I really hope people watch it and enjoy it), or it could be a springboard in to some specials,” Miranda said ahead of the show airing.

“I am very torn – part of me wants to see Gary and Miranda’s married life, part of me wonders whether the story was told and as Miranda gets older it’s a very different kind of show. So the answer remains – I don’t know! But I do know that I am incredible grateful for every supporter of the show and the legacy that it has created.”

Celebrating the 10-year anniversary of the show, Ellis showered the show with praise as he shared a picture of the duo on set on IG:

Ellis will return to the airwaves soon as Lucifer.

The final season of the popular show will air on Netflix for 16 episodes.

The first eight are expected to be released this spring.
