Despite a technical glitch by Amazon, Jim Heath’s latest eBook is now ready for sale!
Amazon accidentally published an early draft of Heath’s new book How The South Turned Red when it was released to pre-order buyers early this morning.
It’s impossible to recall those digital orders, according to Amazon, so the retail company is preparing to send a link to the finalized copy to those who pre-ordered the book via email later this week.
Every copy purchased and sent digitally after 9 am Monday morning was fine.
The book was trending late in the day, reaching #6 on Amazon’s Best Political Reads Under 30 Minutes.
It wasn’t so long ago that Democrats ruled the South, winning elections at the local, state and federal level.
But today, it’s the most Republican region of the country.
How did this amazing political realignment happen?
Political journalist Jim Heath gives us an easy to read overview, and answers the question: “How did yesterday’s Southern Democrats become today’s Southern Republicans?”

The book is an Amazon Kindle Exclusive, selling for just $2.99.
“So many people forget the South used to be the most solidly Democratic part of the country,” said author Jim Heath. “But along came South Carolina’s Strom Thurmond, and he pretty much led the way to flip the South from blue to red.”
The book will be available to read on Monday, February 17, exclusively on Amazon.
