A director on the popular Netflix show Lucifer may have given away the news that the series will return for a sixth season.
Katrina Gould, an additional second assistant director who worked on 10 episodes of season five, posted on Instagram picture of herself and the devil himself Tom Ellis, with the caption: “Getting to work another season of Lucifer with @officialtomellis was a dream come true!
“It’s a bummer the world has gone crazy and we couldn’t end it the way it should’ve been ended, but there is always next season!”
Gould has also worked on Mad Men, Jane the Virgin, and When We Rise.
Whether she, and the entire crew, knows for sure there will be a sixth season is the question.
There has been no official word from Netflix or Warner Bros.
Ellis has been somewhat quiet on social media as negotiations continue for a possible sixth season, but he did find time to retweet a message about the coronavirus from former president Barack Obama.
“If you’re wondering whether it’s an overreaction to cancel large gatherings and public events (and I love basketball), here’s a useful primer as to why these measures can slow the spread of the virus and save lives,” wrote Obama. “We have to look out for each other.”
He also asked Lucifer executive producer Joe Henderson if he was referring to “house cats” after Henderson posted a picture of himself in front a Broadway Cats poster:

Lucifer season 5 was almost finished filming, with the twist of having to rewrite the season finale to fit a possible sixth season.
Actor DB Woodside tweeted his character Amenadiel in action from behind the scenes, and addressed the highly-anticipated release date.
The Lucifer star wrote: “#Lucifans, I still don’t know the release date for season 5. None of us do and we still have yet to finish episode 516.
“I promise though you’ll be the first to know when I have more info and can say so,” wrote Woodside. “Thank you for your patience. In the meantime, enjoy this BTS photo with @vidodoburd from season 4 and stay safe! #lucifer #dbwoodside.”

Season 5 will be split into two parts on Netflix, consisting of eight episodes each.
The first half the season is expected to be dropped by May.
The second half of the season was scheduled to be released this fall, but the coronavirus impact may push that back.
Sources say the potential sixth season of Lucifer would likely consist of 10 episodes.
