Drive down any street in Lake Havasu City, Arizona, and you’ll see a Trump flag…or two…or three in a row.
They have been going up steadily since February, right around the time the coronavirus pandemic started.
Lake Havasu, a popular retirement destination and home of the London Bridge, is the most populous community in Mohave County, Arizona.
It’s a county of about 200,000 people in the northwest corner of the state, and considered the most conservative.
As evidenced by the hundreds of Trump flags that have gone up, in virtually every part of town.
According to Census statistics, nearly 92 percent of the population is white.
Mohave County was also in the top three counties nationwide to support Trump in 2016.
Here’s a sample of the variety of flags:

Due to the strong wind in Lake Havasu, many homeowners have already been through two or three Trump flags.
There are even tiny Trump flags flying.

Even Ronald Reagan, who won 49 states in 1984 and was one of the most popular incumbent presidents in history, never had flags go up in his name.
While many Trump flags are made in the U.S.A., a Chinese company, the Jiahao Flag Co Ltd in Anhui province, has turned out about 90,000 Trump banners and flags.
“Sales have been great ever since 2015,” said manager Yao Yuanyuan.
At about $1 apiece, many suppliers of the paraphernalia that will surround the Trump campaign can’t resist the low price offered by Yao’s factory.
The Trump campaign says all of the flags sold on its website are made in America, but that hasn’t stopped others from ordering from China and selling them at stores, swap meets and online.

Trump won 73 percent of the vote in Lake Havasu City in 2016, compared with 22 percent for his Democratic opponent, Hillary Clinton.
It was the most lopsided Trump victory in Arizona.
And there is no evidence that Trump’s popularity has decreased at all, even during the pandemic.
Even during the year when the popular Ronald Reagan won 49 states in his reelection bid, there were never any flags hoisted in his name.

Yard signs are more traditional for political candidates, and Trump has those too.
There is no sign (of flags) of support for Joe Biden in Lake Havasu City or Mohave County.
But based on prior election results, that is not too surprising.
