Former U.S Navy Seal Dan Barkhuff asks whether President Trump is ‘a coward or complicit’ in a brutal new ad by the Republican anti-Trump group Lincoln Project.

The spot “Betrayed,” released today, lays bare the thoughts of Barkhuff and his feelings towards Trump and recent revelations that the Russian military had secretly offered and paid bounties to Taliban-linked militants to kill U.S. troops in Afghanistan.

Trump denied he had been told, but we now know the intelligence that assessed there was an effort by a Russian military intelligence unit to pay the Taliban to kill US soldiers was included in one of Trump’s daily briefings on intelligence matters earlier this year.

“He chose to nothing about the bounties,” said Barkhuff in the ad. “Any Commander in Chief with a spine would be stomping the living shit out of some Russians right now. Mr. Trump, you’re either a coward who can’t stand up to an ex-KGB goon, or you’re complicit. Which is it? Donald Trump is unfit to be our Commander in Chief.”

Barkhuff graduated from the United States Naval Academy in May of 2001.

For seven years he served on active duty as a member of Naval Special Warfare and has completed multiple combat tours.

Barkhuff attended Harvard Medical School after his active duty tour.

He is now a faculty member and Emergency Medicine doctor at the University of Vermont.

“I’m a pro-life, gun-owning combat veteran, and I can see Trump for what he is,” Barkhuff said. “A coward. We need to send this draft dodger back to the golf course he came from. The lives of our troops depend on it.”
