One Marine has a very direct message for those refusing to wear a mask during the pandemic: ‘You’re going to be fine – stop being a little beta bitch.’

U.S. Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Timothy Byrnes, 23, is an aviation supply specialist with Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron (MALS) 12.

He made the pro-face mask message on TikTok.

“And to you other geniuses who are like, ‘It’s America – I have the freedom not to wear a mask,’ it’s called dress code, Kevin,” he added. “The 7/11 also requires you to wear a shirt!”

In early April, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommended that Americans wear a face cloth covering or mask in places where it is difficult to social distance from other people.

However, there currently is no federal mandate to wear face coverings.

“There are rules about not smoking in enclosed restaurants and bars because that smoke can be deleterious to someone else’s health,” said Steven Taylor, a clinical psychologist and author. “Now we’re in a situation where, if I’m infected with the Covid-19 virus, my breath can be lethal to someone else.”

More than 65,000 new coronavirus cases were recorded yesterday, adding to a nationwide tally of more than 3,874,000 since the pandemic began.

Several states that were quick to reopen — Florida, Arizona and Texas — each counted more than 130 new deaths.

Byrnes was part of the 1st Marine Aircraft Wing (MAW) at Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni, Japan.

He is currently raising funds to help find a cure for ALS, a progressive, fatal neuromuscular disease.

On his military service he said: “I am proud to be a 1st MAW Marine and to be doing anything I can to keep our birds in the air and stay in the fight.”

Byrnes is a Syracuse, New York, native and his IG can be found here.
