Actor Brad Pitt narrated a new campaign ad for Democratic candidate Joe Biden that aired during the World Series game last night.
In the commercial, a montage of clips show Biden meeting with supporters and standing on a stage with wife Dr. Jill Biden while on the campaign trail as the Once Upon a Time in Hollywood actor narrates.
“America is a place for everyone – those who chose this county, those who fought for it – some Republicans, some Democrats, and most, somewhere in between,” the Academy Award-winning actor says in the ad.
Pitt continues in the ad that Americans are seeking the same thing in a leader: “someone who understands their hopes, their dreams, their pain, to listen, to bring people together… to work just as hard for the people who voted for him as those who didn’t. To be a president for all Americans.”
Pitt follows a trend of Hollywood actors and actresses who have fundraised for Democratic candidates via nostalgic reunions, from the cast of Veep to West Wing, as well as those who have been featured in ads and PSAs to further support the former VP’s presidential bid
