The Jim Heath Channel on YouTube celebrated a major milestone today.
The channel hit the 50,000 subscriber mark, a major achievement in social media.
Message from Jim Heath:
‘I would like to take a moment and say thank you to all of the subscribers on my YouTube channel. Today, the channel has hit a milestone of 50,000 subscribers. It has come after a lot of years, but it was not me, it was all of you that watch the videos, hit the like buttons, and the share buttons. If it was not for you, I could not have achieved this milestone. Now that we’re at 50,000 subscribers, my commitment to you is more original content in the weeks and months ahead.’
Heath will soon be launching a three times a week show called Jim on History.
It will feature major and interesting historical moments with comments, along with Heath reading viewer comments.
Also scheduled to air this spring is Jim on YouTube, a show featuring new interviews, URL streams and live chat.
The next goal for the JimHeathChannel is making the 100,000 subscriber mark, which will put it in a special category.
Around 230,000 YouTube channels have over 100,000 subscribers.
Often called Gorilla channels, they are heavy-weight, managed by professionals.
They are here to stay, and they earn significant money with YouTube.
When you reach the 100k subscriber milestone YouTube gives you a partner manager who supports you regarding further growth.
Within YouTube’s benefits program this stage is called the Silver stage.
As of 2020, there were more than 37 million YouTube channels up-and-running.
The number of channels is growing strong: last year it grew more than 23%.
People all around the world are creating a YouTube channel, and uploading 500 hours of video every minute.
