It was an interview on live TV viewed around the world that anchor Peter Jennings couldn’t believe was happening.
As part of ABC’s 24 hour live coverage of New Years Eve/Day 2000, Jennings spent time with Australian comedian Barry Humphries, better known as Dame Edna.
At the start of the interview, Jennings mumbles ‘my God, what we do for a living.’
But it becomes a fun conversation and fun way to kick off the New Year, and New Century.
