A San Diego Padres fan knocked out a Colorado Rockies supporter with one punch sparking a mass brawl among fans.

Footage from the game at Colorado’s Coors Field shows a man wearing a brown and yellow Padres shirt walking swiftly towards the Rockies fan in the gray baseball cap before hitting him with a right hook.

Clearly out cold the Rockies fan goes limp before falling to the ground.

It is not known what sparked the confrontation but after he went down, nearby fans ran along the rows to attack the Padres fan and an all out fight ensued.

It appears that the man who threw the first punch also received hits from other fans.

Although the footage does not show the fan recovering from the punch no-one was injured in the fight.

Denver Police Department confirmed they had been in touch with the Rockies supporter.

A spokesperson said in a statement that no arrests relating to the brawl have been made.

They explained: ‘The person who threw the first punch was contacted by police.

‘However, the person struck did not want to press charges.’

The game continued after the fight, with the San Diego Padres beating the Colorado Rockies 5-3.
