Ohio State was lured into complacency against lowly Purdue two weeks ago, let’s hope it doesn’t happen again as the Buckeyes face Nebraska at home.

Series history: Ohio State leads 5-1. The Buckeyes are undefeated against the Cornhuskers in four games in Columbus. The teams have played only four times since Nebraska joined the Big Ten in 2011, but they are scheduled to meet every season from now through 2021.

Last game: Ohio State won 56-14 in Lincoln last season. The Buckeyes led 35-0 at halftime.

Ohio State’s Urban Meyer is 77-9 in six seasons as the coach of the Buckeyes and 181-32 overall in 17 seasons.

Scott Frost is 2-6 in his first season at Nebraska, where he was a star quarterback in the 1990s. he is 21-13 overall in three seasons as a head coach.

Sophomore quarterback Dwayne Haskins is tied for the national lead with 30 touchdowns passes.

Good News: Ohio State has the No. 3 offense in the country (555.5 yards per game).

Bad News: The Buckeyes are among the worst nationally in the red zone, scoring just 75.7 percent of the time. That ranks 117th.

More Bad News: The defense is tied for 105th, allowing opponents to score 89.5 percent of the time. The Buckeyes are also 118th in penalties per game and 119th in penalty yards assessed per game.

Ohio State fans will continue to watch coach Urban Meyer closely, hoping he does not have another massive headache, like he last month against Indiana during the 4th Quarter.
