Former White House Communications Director Anthony Scaramucci has claimed that Republicans will oust President Donald Trump by March.
‘When you talk to elected Republicans privately they can’t stand the president. They know the president is a lawless person and basically a criminal,’ The Mooch told Yahoo.
Scaramucci, who had a vicious falling out with the president earlier this year, also compared Trump to a cult leader, saying: ‘The president tries to shame people.
‘He’ll bully people … Remember, we have to be 100% loyal to him like he’s David Koresh, or Jim Jones from the Jonestown Kool-Aid punch. If you’re not 100% loyal to him he flips out.’
Scaramucci pointed to polls showing rising levels of Americans who agree that the president should be impeached, and cannot be ignored by Republicans.
‘I predict that’s now going to have to go to 60 (percent) and when it’s 60, Republicans are going to have to cut and run.’
The former Goldman Sachs’ banker has recently submitted paperwork to create a political action committee (PAC) which will set out to defeat Trump if he does not leave office before the 2020 election.
He said it would zero in on swing states like Ohio, Michigan and Florida to explain to voters what Trump ‘is doing actually to their children.’
Scaramucci, who had a 11-day stint as Trump’s communications director in July 2017, has since become a vocal critic of Trump.
Speaking last month about Trump’s July phone call with the Ukrainian president that is at the center of the impeachment inquiry, Scaramucci accused the president of gas-lighting America.
He told CNN: ‘I hear rank criminality. I hear pressure on American diplomats coming from above to push them to do things that are actually a revocation of the Constitution.’
He added: ‘Today by declaring and calling on China to investigate his political adversary, that’s full-blown Trumpian gaslighting. He’s trying to do that in the open.’
As the House steps up its impeachment inquiry, Scaramucci said, ‘This is a full-blown disaster.’
But Scaramucci didn’t hold back his feelings about the Republican loyalists either.
‘What I’m shocked by is that there are 53 senators who haven’t really come out and spoken out. It’s reprehensible. James Madison is rolling in his grave.’
He also told CNN’s Don Lemon that he had a ‘little bit of sadness for the country,’
