President Trump has the highest disapproval rating of any president at this point in office, even worse than one-term president Jimmy Carter.

Back during Carter’s presidency, there was a sense of national ‘malaise’ with a bad economy and American hostages being held in Iran.

Today, it’s the ongoing ‘Trump Turmoil’ with America dealing with a pandemic, racial unrest, growing unemployment and a sense that Trump possesses no empathy or leadership.

Opinion poll analysis website FiveThirtyEight shared startling numbers showing that Trump’s disapproval rate is at 54 percent, the highest it’s been since October 2019.

‘Trump’s disapproval rating has been on the rise again, now up to 54 percent. There were some presidents with lower approval ratings to this point in their first terms, but no president had a higher *disapproval* rating than Trump now has,’ site creator Nate Silver said Tuesday.

He noted that while other presidents have had lower approval ratings, none have faced this high of a disapproval rating starting June of an election year.

The only president who came close to this high disapproval rating was Carter at 52 percent at day 1,230 of his presidency.

At 1,230 days in office Barack Obama had a 47.1 percent disapproval rating and 47.3 percent approval rating.

George W. Bush had a 49.9 disapproval rating and Bill Clinton a 37.5 percent disapproval rating at this point in term.

As the nation looks to Trump amid the coronavirus pandemic and George Floyd protests, Trump’s disapproval has only risen.

Trump is also down by double digits to former Vice President Joe Biden in November‘s presidential election in a majority of polls.

Some polls have Trump’s net approval rate as low as 15 percent to Biden.

And Trump isn’t taking his low ratings well.

Trump lashed out on Twitter after A Fox News poll had him behind Biden by eight points.

‘.@FoxNews should fire their Fake Pollster. Never had a good Fox Poll!” Trump wrote. He added, “Why doesn’t @FoxNews put up the CNBC POLL or the (believe it or not!) @CNN Poll?’ he tweeted on May 22.

‘Hope Roger A is looking down and watching what has happened to this once beautiful creation!’ he added.
