Nearly six of ten Americans approve of the job Special Counsel Robert Mueller is doing according to a new Fox News poll. That’s an 11 point jump in the past month.
Mueller’s approval rating is now 59 percent, up 11 points since July. An increasing number of Americans also believe Mueller’s report will find Trump committed criminal or impeachable offenses.
Several findings in the poll point to the potential for a blue wave in November:
- President Trump’s job rating remains underwater.
- Republicans alone say the economy is in positive shape.
- The GOP tax law is less popular than Obamacare.
- The Republican Party is less popular (39 percent favorable) than the Democratic Party (50 percent favorable).
- Optimism about life for the next generation of Americans is down eight points from last year.
- There is greater enthusiasm to vote in the midterms among out-of-power Democrats.
The poll was conducted prior to Trump’s former campaign manager Paul Manafort being found guilty of tax and bank fraud, and Trump’s former personal attorney Michael Cohen pleading guilty to campaign-finance violations and other charges.
