The magic number is 10.
That’s how many episodes remain in Lucifer’s journey on Netflix.
It’s been a roller coaster of a month for Lucifer fans, coming to grips and accepting the reality that the next season of the hit show will be the last.
Netflix announced Season five earlier this month following a huge campaign from Lucifans.
But with the good news came the recognition that the show will be ending soon.
It has split the Lucifer fandom, with some signing a petition to Netflix to urge more seasons, while others have backed Executive Producer Joe Henderson who has been adamant season five is it.

Netflix has confirmed Season Five will consist of 10 episodes, the same number as Season Four.
“It’s 10… And we’re going to make every minute count!” wrote showrunner and writer Ildy Modrovich on Twitter:

Responding to a fan, Modrovich also said they would try to put together a blooper reel after the series finale.
Fan responses were mixed.
One requested the episode lengths be expanded:
Can you guys make every episode like….2 hour long?! Please!!!!! Or at least an 1 hour and a half! #Lucifer #LuciferSeason5 @netflix

Another requested a two hour finale:
At the very LEAST, let the finale be 2 hours

Most were happy there will be a fifth season, with a bit of disappointment mixed in:
damn i was really hoping we would get a longer final season? well at least we’re getting another season! i’m sure it will be the best yet❤️

Thousands of Lucifer fans have signed a petition pleading with Netflix to give the popular show a sixth season, but the shows top boss Joe Henderson has made it clear it will all end with season five.
The petition picked up momentum last week when Lucifer star Lauren German signaled to fans that they should push Netflix for additional seasons.
But Henderson has made it clear season five is it:
Meanwhile, Lucifer Tom Ellis and his new bride Meaghan continue their honeymooning in Paris.
But they took the time to tweet out a story about the unfathomable murder, rape and torture of “men, women and children in Sudan.”

As for Ellis, the timing of ending the show could work out perfectly for his career.
Eon Productions is looking for a new James Bond as Daniel Craig, who has elevated Bond’s moodiness to new heights, is finally retiring from the iconic role.

Ellis has played the devil with charm and anger and wit for four seasons, so the transition to Bond, with all his action-packed moodiness, should be simple.
His role as the snarky and devilish Lucifer has actually just been a extra long audition for one of the premiere jobs in Hollywood.
Thank you I’m very happy there going to be season five. I’ll be waiting patently ? why? it the last taping of Lucifer. However I’m going Lucifer again starting from season 1
i think tom would be a great james bond
I want more Lucifer!
Definitely more of Lucifer..PLEASE
I am delighted we will have a fifth season, sadden it is the end. Thank you Net flicks for wrapping the stories up instead of just discontinuing like they almost after season 3
I am vex that’s it is only 10 episodes (please be mre dan 60 mins) but I am excited to see how the shows raps up #teamlucifer
Tom’s mentioned several times that it’s always fun to play a “bad” guy. I would really like to see him in that type of role!
