With production of Lucifer set to end this fall, a couple of stars are already looking ahead and shopping their resumes, hoping Marvel Studios will come calling.
D.B. Woodside, who plays Lucifer’s brother Amenadiel, has his eye specifically on the reboot of the X-Men movies.
Yesterday he tweeted Marvel Studios and put in a good word for himself and co-star Lesley Ann Brandt:
“Dear @MarvelStudios I heard that you’re recasting the X-men franchise. @LesleyAnnBrandt and I will be free and available January 2020.”

D.B.’s twitter bio now includes an impressive list of the shows he’s been on : 24, Buffy, The Temptations, Parenthood, Single Ladies, Suits, & Lucifer.
If playing the devil’s brother for five seasons isn’t impressive enough, though, what is?
Lesley-Ann was quick to reply to D.B.’s tweet.
“Awe man. I love you bro.”

This isn’t the first time D.B. has made the pitch to be a superhero.
Back in 2016, he wore a Green Lantern shirt during his appearance at Comic-Con International.
Ultimately, D.B. did not get cast in Green Lantern Corps (set for release next summer) but his passion for the genre hasn’t stopped.
“I grew up as a comic-book guy, so I love these characters,” said Woodside. “We’re living in a superhero bubble right now that I am hoping will never burst.”
The dust has only just settled on the Marvel Studios panel at San Diego Comic Con last weekend, with Kevin Feige officially confirming for the first time that movies based on the Fantastic Four and the X-Men are in active development.
Everybody knew this was going to happen the minute Disney acquired the rights to the characters as part of the 20th Century Fox deal.
While it was a foregone conclusion that both the Fantastic Four and the X-Men would be making their way into the MCU at some point in the near future, this is the first time it’s been acknowledged so overtly.
The Fantastic Four haven’t had the best of luck on the big screen, but if anyone can get the characters right, it’s Marvel Studios.
As for the X-Men, Dark Phoenix brought Fox’s time at the helm of the franchise to a disappointing end, with the future of the long-delayed New Mutants still in doubt.
There’s already been twelve X-Men movies since the year 2000, and the speculation about Deadpool 3 isn’t going away either, so it might be best if the MCU waited a while before reintroducing the property to audiences.
But D.B. and Lesley-Ann are ready to go!
As Tom Ellis searches for life after Lucifer, perhaps as a future James Bond, other cast members will be busy doing the same thing in the months ahead.
Meanwhile Netflix is swirling around in the toilet bowl as a streaming service because it chose to end Lucifer which was #1 binged series 8 weeks in a row now! Just doesn’t make sense to me when they are loosing subscribers (300,000+ in the US alone so far). Anyone know why Netflix is losing them? They can’t keep up with the competition? Maybe putting ‘Friends” and “The Office” reruns on instead soured them?
Tom Ellis as Harry Dresden if they do a show on the Dresden Files
