In the world of Lucifans, this is news from God himself! Tom Ellis may have been spotted taking part in Crisis on Infinite Earths as Lucifer!

And that means we could see our favorite devilish character Lucifer before the fifth season is dropped on Netflix.

The Crisis on Infinite Earths comic book is the inspiration for “Crisis on Infinite Earths”, an Arrowverse crossover event consisting of an episode of each series: Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl, Legends of Tomorrow, and Batwoman.

The event also includes characters from the television series Black Lightning, Smallville, and Birds of Prey.

And, according to our source @Canadagraphs, now Lucifer!

Tweeting early this morning, Canagraphs stated that they witnessed a “Crisis on Infinite Earths” scene getting filmed, and Tom Ellis was in it!

“They did a scene with Tom Ellis dressed like Lucifer Morningstar. Yes, you read that correct,” they wrote.

Here is the tweet:

Canadagraphs, leaking the info in apparent revenge for a driver from The Flash refusing to turn down their high beams, dropped this little scoop causing quite a stir on Twitter.

The scene includes David Ramsay (who plays John Diggle), Katherine McNamara (Mia Smoak), and Matt Ryan (John Constantine).

Though the scene denotes a crossing over of various points in the Arrowverse timeline (given that Mia is from 20+ years in the future), it is, as the post states, hardly a surprise.

All three of those aforementioned actors were recently seen together via set photos.

The kicker, however, is that Ellis was reportedly present and dressed in full Lucifer Morningstar attire.

Lucifer is not a part of the Arrow-verse, but technically he is part of the DC Comics via The Sandman.

The concept of Hell was first established within the shared universe in Arrow season 4, when Constantine repaid a debt to the titular vigilante.

His method of payment was to retrieve the soul of Sara Lance.

The realm was later revisited in Legends of Tomorrow season 4, when Constantine and Nora Darhk undertook a similar quest to save Ray Palmer.

So the King of Hell appearing would require little exposition.

BUT… we don’t know for sure.

Parts of Season 5 of Lucifer are currently being recorded in Vancouver, where the Arrowverse is also filmed.

Ellis may have just popped by during a break in filming to visit Tom Welling – the villainous Cain in Lucifer – who is reprising his Smallville role of Clark Kent in the crossover.

Ellis could also be appearing as someone who closely resembles Old Scratch, as a sort of wink to the audience.

We just don’t know for sure because this news has not been confirmed by the producers or Ellis himself.

But it sure would be cool to see Lucifer recognized in the Arrowverse.

Putting cold water on ALL of this is our Lucifer source @Sanoiro who reports that Ellis was in a makeup trailer in Los Angeles yesterday, meaning he could not have been in Vancouver.

If that’s the case, Lucifans are just spinning our wheels in speculation.

But it sure is fun!

Crisis on Infinite Earths will kick off with the Supergirl episode on December 8.

The fifth and final season of Lucifer has not yet been given an official release date.

It’s possible the 16 episodes could be released in two parts, starting in May.
