It’s no secret James Bond producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson are actively looking for the next James Bond.

Daniel Craig’s time for playing the iconic super spy will officially end when No Time To Die is released this November.

Rumors have been steady for weeks that Tom Hardy is the frontrunner to land the role, but many fans have taken to social media to complain he’s not right for the part.

Superman himself, Henry Cavill, has also been publicly lobbying to be considered.

But Broccoli and Wilson would be smart to look for the next Bond in Lucifer.

Yes, the devil should make them do it.

JimHeath.TV has been advocating for Tom Ellis to play the iconic spy for over a year.

We are not alone.

A petition on Change.org backing Ellis is now over 5.3K strong.

Ellis has played the devil with charm and anger and wit for five seasons, but a recent drawn out contract dispute to play the devil for a sixth, and final, season may have complicated things for his agent.

As Broccoli and Wilson look around to secure the next Bond, Ellis is now tied to Lucifer through next year.

That was an unexpected development after Netflix made it clear they only wanted five seasons, changing their minds at the last minute.

It took awhile for Ellis and Warner Bros to hammer out the details, considering Tom’s agent had already been searching for new roles and projects.

After Ellis reportedly rejected several Warner Bros offers, he finally agreed to a sixth season last May.

Still, a possible transition to Bond, with all his action-packed moodiness, should be simple for Ellis.

His role as the snarky and devilish Lucifer has actually just been a extra long audition for one of the premiere jobs in Hollywood, if the role remains open into next year.

Let’s review:

Ellis looks good in Bond suit:

He looks like Bond in a tux:

He looks good like Bond in next-to-nothing:

He looks like Bond with a gun:

He looks like Bond just standing around:

He looks like Bond with the ladies:

He looks like Bond with the guys:

He looks like Bond in…this:

Okay, maybe that last one didn’t help.

But you get the point.

The truth is Ellis combines the studliness of Sean Connery, with the wit of Roger Moore, the ease of Pierce Bronson, and the pissed-off-at-the-world attitude of Daniel Craig.

Make him the seventh Bond and he fits right in.

And now Lucifans are taking the lead in getting Hollywood’s attention.

Kristin Harris, at @knight_vision on Twitter, designed an amazing video that you can easily imagine playing in any theater in the world!

It shows Tom in various scenes as Lucifer, which translate so remarkably into Bond.

“It’s a special video montage I made in support of Tom Ellis as the next James Bond,” said Kristin. “He was born for this role and would be absolutely perfect! The footage features Lucifer and Rush.”

The video has racked up nearly 2,000 views on YouTube in its first two hours.

Amazing job Kristin!

And in case you’re wondering if Ellis is up to playing Bond, he tweeted JimHeath.TV last year he was in:

Meanwhile, fans have already created some 007 posters:

In reality, we all love Lucifer – men, women, children and small animals alike.

But playing the devil will come to an end.

Let’s hope the blood on Lucifer’s sixth season wings didn’t spell doom for Tom Ellis becoming the next James Bond.
