Lucifer is the King of Binge. Take that Game of Thrones!

As Tom Ellis and his new wife Meaghan enjoy their honeymoon this week, Lucifer remains #1 for yet another week with 5.89% of binge sessions according to TVTime; holding the top position throughout the entire month of May.

That beats HBO juggernaut Game of Thrones.

Here’s the Top 10 rundown:

An announcement regarding a 5th season for Lucifer is expected by Netflix this week.

Co-showrunners Joe Henderson and Ildy Modrovich have made it clear that Netflix is paying very close attention to how much binge watching is really going on.

“They’ll hopefully let us know by June 8,” Modrovich told TVLine. “That tends to be how they do things with first-season shows, that they will hopefully let everyone know within a month. The bingeing and all the fan support helps with that.”

“The fan support is super-important, and in particular the first month is going to be crucial towards whether or not we get a Season 5, because they are paying attention,” added Henderson.

Fans have already been signing an online petition for several weeks.

It reads: “Lucifer” has just gotten picked up by Netflix, after being canceled by Fox. Fans were very excited to see a “Lucifer” season 4, but sadly it is only 10 episodes long rather than at least 12 episodes per season. Now I know this is early, but WE NEED A LUCIFER SEASON 5. CALLING OUT ALL LUCIFER FANS!!!

The petition [sign here] now has nearly 20,000 signers in just a month. (Thanks to many readers of JimHeath.TV!)

Netflix could give them a nice present with a renewal announcement, something Lucifans have been pushing for over a month.

As fans flooded their separate social media profiles with congratulations, there are also continuing reports that Ellis could be the next James Bond, replacing the retiring Daniel Craig.

For those who have been living under a rock, Lucifer is a fantasy comedy drama revolving around the devil.

The show focuses on Lucifer Morningstar (Ellis), a fallen angel who is fed up with his demanding role as the King of Hell, so decides to become a consultant with the LAPD instead, naturally.

Lucifer has superhuman strength and invulnerability, as well as the power to make people tell him their secret desires.

The devil character is based on one created by Neil Gaiman for The Sandman comic-book series.

Lucifer is based on a DC comic book.

When Netflix announces a fifth season, Ellis and Lauren German would reprise their roles as Lucifer Morningstar and Detective Chloe Decker.

Kevin Alejandro would be back as Detective Dan Espinoza, alongside Lesley-Ann Brandt as Mazikeen, Aimee Garcia as Ella Lopez and Rachael Harris as Dr Linda Martin, among others.

Inbar Lavi could also be back as Eve, with Henderson saying: “We loved working with Inbar. As you can see in the season, she’s absolutely fantastic. The question becomes, as we get into our room, how much story would we have for that character?”
